Wooden Palettes have a rigid flat surface on which a painter arranges and mixes paints (oils and acrylics).
Made from good quality plywood laminate, smooth on both sides, which means it can be used on either side.
A wooden palette is absorbent but can be conditioned by sealing it with some linseed oil.
It is better to use a wooden palette than a white one. When using a toned ground, as the brown, it will allow the artist to see how the colours will appear on the medium.
